Classics Review: ‘The Shawshank Redemption’

My oh my, “The Shawshank Redemption” is a film like no other. Director Frank Darabont, who today is known for his previous work on “The Walking Dead,” and directing other movies based off of the books that were written by Stephen King. “The Shawshank Redemption” being one of them, and in my opinion, it is the best thing he’s ever done.

‘11.22.63’ wraps up its eighth and final episode

I have been waiting for a mini-series to leave me with a similar feeling that “Band of Brothers” left me with. Four episodes into last summer’s “Wayward Pines” and I thought that could be it. The building of suspense and mystery was exactly what I was looking for, but sadly the show took a turn for the worst about half way through. I felt that all hope was lost when it came to the potential idea of a killer mini-series. That was until I began seeing previews for “11.22.63.”
