‘Hidden Figures’ review

In the best picture category of The Oscars it can be somewhat rare to find a movie that isn’t depressing throughout and also includes a happy ending. “Hidden Figures” is one of those rare films, and what’s so great about it is that you can watch this family-friendly movie with the satisfaction that it’s not filled with cliche moments and a stupid ending.

Craig done with 007 for good? Tom Hiddleston and Jamie Bell in the running?

It seems that my thousand-a-month-views just aren’t good enough, which is really no surprise. A few months ago I posted an article expressing my hopes for Daniel Craig to stay with the James Bond franchise. Did I expect him to somehow stumble onto my blog and realize that he should stay with the series to please the fans? Absolutely not. But now I am sad because it definitely seems that he’s leaving the 007 character for good.

‘Civil War’ took the cake, here’s my review

This was the year that would test DC’s abilities against Marvel’s. Now it is fair to say that Marvel has had plenty of time to develop their audience and create backstories for their characters, DC has had one movie prior to “Batman v Superman,” which really only introduced characters from Superman’s side of the overall story. With that said, this year Marvel has so far absolutely crushed DC, which is sad for me to admit since I’m more of a DC fan.

‘Keanu’ is adventurous, amusing and adorable

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this “Keanu,” I haven’t seen a full episode of “Key & Peele,” but I have enjoyed Keegan-Michael Key in other recent movies. Not too mention the trailers revealed that there would be plenty of action, comedy and an adorable cat. So I was hoping for the best.

The transformation of Harry Potter, from a psychology standpoint

Harry Potter has a long history within our hearts, with a total of seven books that were made into eight movies, fans of the franchise have many options to depict what makes up his personality. There are a lot of personality theorists out there, but Carl Jung and Abraham Maslow developed theories that directly correlate with the character development of Harry.

Should we be excited for ‘Jason Bourne’?

In 2002 we were given “The Bourne Identity“, a great action movie that focused on a mysterious storyline and the lovable character Jason Bourne, played by Matt Damon. It involved government conspiracies, an incredible action scene throughout an American Embassy in Switzerland and a sweet romance before it became a cliche to include them in every action film.

‘Spider-Man 2’ is as good as it gets

Here we are with my review for “Spider-Man 2“, my second of three Spider-Man reviews that will lead us into our introduction to Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While I may not be a huge MCU fan, I am a big fan of Spider-Man and I can’t wait to see him in “Captain America: Civil War“.

‘The Jungle Book’ is an instant classic

Mark your calendars to remind yourself that this was the weekend that revolutionized the digital imaging within live-action films. Remaking the 1967 cartoon version of “The Jungle book” was a risky move by Disney. From the start, they must’ve realized the amount of post-production talent that they would need in order for the CGI to even be accepted. I myself would have never guessed that this movie would be the one to exceed the limit and break the barrier of 2009’s “Avatar”.
