‘Lion’ is an emotional ride, here’s my review

Here we are, the last film review before the Academy Awards. “Lion” was the ninth film to be nominated as best picture, and I feel like it was a forgotten film as well. ‘Hidden Figures’ review

In the best picture category of The Oscars it can be somewhat rare to find a movie that isn’t depressing throughout and also includes a happy ending. “Hidden Figures” is one of those rare films, and what’s so great about it is that you can watch this family-friendly movie with the satisfaction that it’s not filled with cliche moments and a stupid ending.

Craig done with 007 for good? Tom Hiddleston and Jamie Bell in the running?

It seems that my thousand-a-month-views just aren’t good enough, which is really no surprise. A few months ago I posted an article expressing my hopes for Daniel Craig to stay with the James Bond franchise. Did I expect him to somehow stumble onto my blog and realize that he should stay with the series to please the fans? Absolutely not. But now I am sad because it definitely seems that he’s leaving the 007 character for good.

‘Civil War’ took the cake, here’s my review

This was the year that would test DC’s abilities against Marvel’s. Now it is fair to say that Marvel has had plenty of time to develop their audience and create backstories for their characters, DC has had one movie prior to “Batman v Superman,” which really only introduced characters from Superman’s side of the overall story. With that said, this year Marvel has so far absolutely crushed DC, which is sad for me to admit since I’m more of a DC fan.

Coming to Netflix: May

We’re a bunch of binge-watching fools, and Netflix is our lover.
It’s something that, at least, I can’t help. I look forward to those relaxing nights where I get to sit on my couch and watch a movie with my girlfriend. It allows me to escape the day’s antics and give me a moment where I’m not thinking about the problems of tomorrow. And besides my movie collection, Netflix provides the best way to stream dozens of different movies.
